INSPIRING EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE (EYFS) (Ages 14 months- 5 years)
At St Andrew’s International Primary School and Early Years Centre, our vibrant and nurturing Early Years programme lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Following the British Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and Early Learning Goals, we focus on holistic development- nurturingcommunication, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional growth.

Learning is play-based, exploratory, and inquiry-driven, encouraging children to think creatively, ask questions, and make discoveries. Every child is an individual with a desire to learn and expand their knowledge. A strong emphasis is placed on phonics, supporting early reading and writing, while our Forest School sessions and weekly farm visits connect children with nature, inspiring curiosity, care and compassion interwinned with independence, and confidence skills.

Technology and innovation are woven throughout learning, with children introduced to ICT, coding and robotics in age-appropriate ways. Our approach develops 21st-century skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity- ensuring every child is prepared for future learning in an ever-changing world. We use formative and summative assessments to carefully monitor each child’s progress, ensuring that every learner achieves success regardless of ability. The curriculum is enriched with art, music, dance, drama, physical education, and swimming, ensuring a balanced and joyful start to every child’s educational journey.
